Sharon Osbourne has shared new details about Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert, revealing how the historic event celebrated an entire generation of heavy metal musicians.

Speaking at the London premiere of Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning on October 20, Sharon explained that the concert honored artists who had spent decades being overlooked by the mainstream music industry.

The July 5, 2025, event at Birmingham’s Villa Park featured Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, and other major rock acts alongside Ozzy and the original Black Sabbath lineup.

Sharon also discussed Ozzy’s serious health challenges. He was battling emphysema, which made breathing and singing difficult. Doctors had warned that he might be unable to perform, but he remained determined to take the stage.

She also revealed that Jason Momoa, who hosted the concert, learned about his role shortly before the event.

The farewell show raised approximately £11 million for charity. Ozzy died 17 days later, on July 22, 2025, at age 76.

The concert film arrives in theaters worldwide on October 28, 2026.
